HOPE worldwide is excited to announce this year’s International Day of Giving! This special fundraising event allows churches and their members to come together on one day to meet the needs of the poor throughout the world. We look forward to more than 100 churches joining together in this effort.
The International Day of Giving will culminate on November 21 as churches from around the world reach out in their communities to make the International Day of Giving a great success. The goal for churches in the United States is for each church member to raise $52 (the equivalent of $1 a week) to help meet the global needs of HOPE worldwide.
The money you raise will support HOPE worldwide’s work in more than 60 countries, including HIV/AIDS work in Africa and community health and social programs in countries such as India, Cambodia and the Philippines. You will also help support programs for volunteers who serve in the HOPE Youth Corps and Volunteer Corps and 100 Chapters serving communities throughout North America.
We hope church members will reach out to their friends, family and co-workers to help meet the $52 goal. Many employers with a charitable matching gift policy may also match the money raised by their employees. Last year, one HOPE worldwide volunteer (and married mother with two young children) was able to easily raise more than $900 in less than two weeks by simply sending out an email to friends asking for their support and asking her employer to match the money she raised. It is really that easy!

We also have a new fundraising tool that allows you to set up your own fundraising website to have friends contribute directly to your own page at www.hopeww.org/dayofgiving/fundraise.
